Thanks again to all those who participated in my 2nd blogiversary festivities! If you’re interested, below are the tutorials I used to make the table runner and sunglasses case. Both are very easy projects–from start to finish, each project only took a couple hours to complete!
First up, the Chevron table runner:
I downloaded this free tutorial at You Can Make This for the table runner–step by step instructions, and lots of resources for the first-time quilter.
Instead of using the suggested traditional method of binding, I used this tutorial at Prudent Baby for the “cheater binding,” which is using the background fabric to create the binding–no extra cutting required!
For the background, I pieced extra scraps together until it was big enough. My measuring skills are fancy like that!
For the sunglasses case, I used this tutorial at The Tulip Patch–super simple project, but if you’re like me, a bit of guidance is comforting.
And of course, I used my label maker to add my signature to both projects.
