High Five for Friday! I’m sharing the highlights of my week… five to be exact! I love the idea of focusing on five little things that made me happy… definitely a fun way to recap the week and and stay grateful!
1 – Sewing time. My self-imposed deadline is drawing closer… but I’m almost there! With each new quilt, I always go through cycles of being obsessed then growing tired of it the whole thing the closer I get to the end. I had to push myself to work on it last weekend, but I was super giddy when I finished the top and basted all the layers together… now I just have to finish up the final step of quilting. I can’t wait to gift this quilt and share the details!
2 – The parrots are back! Our office overlooks a small park, and every year around this time a huge flock of little green parrots congregate in the trees. You can hear them squawking and flying around all day long, but in a week or so they’ll be gone again. I didn’t even try to take a picture, since they blend in with the trees so well… but this pic from Google is pretty close!
3 – Fun Mail. I love my Birchbox subscription! My favorite mail of the month, for sure.
4 – Happy hour. My book group had too many scheduling conflicts to meet up this month, so those of us who could met up for happy hour last night. Fun times!
5 – A Doodle a Day. I love to doodle, and I’ve challenged myself to a doodle a day. I’m not super strict about it, but before I throw away any scraps of paper I take a moment and doodle on it. It’s been a fun way to take a mini break during the work day!
I’m linking up with Lauren Elizabeth for H54F!
