From Grandma’s Trunk: The Christmas Cat

This is the last post in a series on some of my favorite books from childhood—right out of my former librarian Grandma’s home.  They now hold places of honor on my one tiny bookcase in my tiny townhouse, and now reside in a box destined to travel across the country to California!

The Christmas Cat, written by Efner Tudor Holmes and illustrated by Tasha Tudor

This sweet book is in my Christmas book box, but it deserves a mention in this little series.  It is just sweet through and through—the orphaned cat, the howling snow, the woodland Santa who unites the cat with a loving family on Christmas Eve.  And this copy is signed by the author and illustrator (Love Tasha Tudor!).  My Grandma was always a cat lover, I’m a cat lover, and I’ve married a cat lover—so this book will just have to go to California, too.
