Our halls are decked, fa la la la la!
On Black Friday, Sam and I put up all the Fall decorations and pulled out the massive red plastic bin that holds all the Christmas decorations–a massively reduced supply after our move, and it was still a tight fit to find a place for everything in our new apartment!
A TV tray holds our tiny 2-foot tree,
I hung 3M hooks on a door for our stockings,
the garland that used to adorn our front porch railing now hangs around a doorway,
and all our knickknacks found other places to call home:
Probably the saddest improvisation was for my poor holiday book collection–with no basket or table to sit on, I turned a footstool upside down to contain them!
And I probably won’t even buy a new basket either, because after the holidays I won’t have a place for it! It’s been a challenge to adjust to such a tiny space, but we’re making it work!
