City Sights: Christmas at Fisherman’s Wharf

A few weeks ago, I walked from our apartment down to Fisherman’s Wharf to do a bit of Christmas shopping.  With this being our first year in San Francisco, I might as well take advantage of Fisherman’s Wharf, a treasure trove of cheap gifts–by next year, everyone will probably be tired of touristy trinkets, but the novelty hasn’t worn off yet!

Some of the sights along the way….

View from the top of the hill on Hyde... nice to walk down, hell to walk up, but a great view at the top!
Alcatraz and the ships in the distance
Cable cars decked out in greenery
Tree at Pier 39
View from the pier
The seals, napping and barking
The birdie who joined me for lunch--a cheese crepe, but sorry--no scraps for you!
Seagull
Alcatraz

Merry Christmas from Fisherman’s Wharf!  More City Sights coming soon!
