Radio Silence… and a Quarter-Century Birthday

My apologies for the silence last week.  Sometimes life goes a bit haywire, and events suddenly careen completely out of your control.  Last week was one of those times (please excuse the depressing WIWW pics posting tomorrow… you can pretty plainly tell which days were the hardest).  But this time the crisis was not due to my own health saga, so I don’t feel free to give any details.  You’ll just have to take my word for it that everything is better now, everyone is healthy, and life will settle down again soon.  Hopefully.  That’s what I’ve been telling myself for the past three years, anyway.

Speaking of years… today is my birthday!  My 25th, to be exact.  It seem like it should be an important one, a milestone, but life has been so turned upside down recently that I’m just glad for normal things: going to work, eating well, a clean apartment, sweet kitties waiting at home.  And the big present is that my Mom is here to keep me company!  I don’t know what I would do without family.  Sam’s family was out here last week too, and nothing compares to the support and care your family provides.  It sure does make San Francisco seem an awful long way from home…

But it’s my birthday, so no dwelling on negative thoughts!  I had some time on my hands this past weekend, so please check out the sidebar of the blog–a collaboration with guest bloggers is in the works, and I finally dressed up the social media links.  I was so proud of myself for attempting some simple html code.  And by “attempt” I mean copy and paste from a tutorial and then bang my head on the computer when it didn’t work the first (or second or third) time.  But yay for progress!

Feel free to cyber stalk me and wish me a happy birthday 🙂
