Blogiversary Giveaway: Take Two!

Hi, y’all!  I’ve been thinking about this giveaway all weekend, and honestly feeling down in the dumps about the lack of comments, and imagining all sorts of scenarios in which people are tired of me and my stupid blog and  maybe they liked me better when I was sick but now that I’m healthy and employed they’re tired of what I have to say… and chose to show it by not leaving a comment.  Don’t you love spiraling into those kinds of irrational and negative thoughts??

But then!  Before I could feel too sorry for myself, I talked to my Mom and she said, “Well… your question was kinda hard.”  And the more I thought about it, the more I realized it was true.  Finding inspiration goes along with being a blogger, and if I can’t think of what to write next, maybe I should just take a break instead of asking other people to do the work for me.  It’s a lot easier to read about someone else’s life than to tell them what they should write about… and that’s totally understandable!  I’m a lurker on lots of blogs, but just because I don’t comment doesn’t mean I don’t enjoy what they have to say.

So!  I would still love to give away two prizes, and I would love to broaden the pool of possible winners.  If you would like to win, please follow this link to leave a comment:

  1. I understand you feeling down heartened, sometimes I feel like that too when I don’t get any feedback at all. But you just have to keep going regardless because some time, someone will make a lovely comment that will make you smile! Even the smallest comment makes my day most of the time.
As for the inspiration question, I don’t really know where I get mine. I get a big gust of it all of a sudden, and then I could have no ideas for a few weeks! I think reading different types of blogs, or doing new activities is great though, as it can lead you to think of new things and also give you a fresh perspective on things.
    Keep smiling! 🙂

  2. Totally with you, it’s hard to get feedback, especially if people read your posts from their feedburner or “blogs I follow”. Yes, it’s great that they are dedicated followers, but that doesn’t mean they’ll take the extra time to come over and comment on what they’ve read.

  3. I just wanted to say that I love your blog. I didn’t comment earlier because in my opinion, it is already incredibly interesting. I don’t really feel like I could be much inspiration for anything new. I’ll let you know, though, that my favorite blog entries are the ones in which you talk about your life, your crafts (you are very talented by the way!) and especially when you talk about books. Also, I really like how you are doing the “What I wore Wednesday” I hope you continue to blog. It has inspired me to try new recipes, and read new books, but mostly I just enjoy reading what you have to talk about 🙂

  4. I truly enjoy your blog. I love the photography… of the city, the fashion, the kitties. I love the book reviews. They help with suggestions for my book group and keep me connected with the literary world (which I am not on my own). Keep on going. I know for a fact you are being read by many.
