You know what really calms me down? Making lists. And not even To-Do lists or Wish Lists… sometimes that’s too mch thinking. When I’m feeling really overwhelmed, sometimes it helps calm me down to just make a list of my favorite routines. Weird, I know. But whatever works, right?
One of my favorite routines is putting on makeup in the morning. It’s taken me years to find products that I can really trust to look good, and although I still experiment occasionally, the steps have been the same for years.
That list looks like this…

1. Moisturizer – Cerave AM
(not pictured) Burt’s Bees chapstick
2. Foundation – Clinique Acne Solutions liquid foundation
3. Cream Powder – Too Faced Flawless Foundation with SPF (in Warm Vanilla)
4. Blush – Too Faced bronzer (in Snow Bunny)
5. Eye shadow – Clinique (I use the Lucky Penny and Dark Plum shades the most often)
6 Eye liner – Maybelline Define a Line eye liner
7 Mascara – Maybelline Great Lash or L’Oreal Voluminous Million Lashes (not pictured, but a frequent pick if it’s on sale)
8 Lipstick – Clinque Almost Lipstick (in Black Honey) or Maybelline Color Sensation lipstick (in Pink in the Afternoon)
(Somehow I’ve collected quite a few eyeliners… I keep them in a tin that used to hold chocolates. Cute storage makes everything better!)
