Another week of What I Wore Wednesday!

The Amateur Librarian // What I Wore Wednesday

What I Wore Wednesday is my motivation for wearing the clothes I own, finding new ways to mix and match outfits, and not wearing the same three things all the time! I kept a fashion diary for the entire year of 2012, and now in 2013 I’m adding a bit about my days to go along with the outfit. So these weekly check-ins are a nice journal of my life too!

sailboat pendant // Groop Dealz
jeans // Aeropostale via eBay
black flats // PayLess

Sunday it was drizzly and foggy, but we decided to check out a local farmers market anyway.  We came home with fresh peaches and local honey, but I think we’ll try to check out more farmers markets too.  It’s a quick, fun outing!  We puttered around for the rest of the day, and ended Sunday with the season finale of Mad Men (so good!).

Another foggy, rainy day – what a way to start the week!  I wore flats and an easy top since I knew I’d be walking a lot.  I had a doctor appointment in the afternoon, so I skipped working out.  The appointment went well, even if it wasn’t the news I wanted to hear.  I guess I’m learning that it’s never going to be good news… but “it could be worse” news is better than bad news!  At least I got home early and had time to talk to my Mom and BFF on the phone – with the time difference, it’s usually too late by the time I’m finished working out.  So that was a nice way to end the day!

rice pearls // inherited
black cardigan // Loft via eBay
black pencil skirt // Loft
grey tights // Gap
ankle strap heels // eBay

Another rainy day…  easy office outfit, with grey tights so the black wasn’t too overwhelming.  I was in a bit of a funk after my doctor appointment… it’s hard to be reminded that my chronic condition will always affect my life, but after a little pity party I started to perk up.  It’s all part of the journey, I guess.  I went to the gym after work and my mood improved, even if the weather didn’t.

floral top // Belk
pearl bead necklace // eBay
navy blue cardigan // Loft
grey pants // old
nude heels // PayLess

This outfit was OK… but not my favorite.  Plus the weather finally warmed up, and the cardigan wasn’t really necessary.  Pretty average day, and working out at the gym again after work.

lace top // Banana Republic
champagne pearls // eBay
black skirt // old
skinny belt // Forever 21
ankle strap heels // eBay

Another Pinterest-inspired outfit!  Simple black and white… I think the belt really ties it together.  Book Club met in Hayes Valley, a fun night for a glass of sangria and girl talk.  We weren’t too excited about Apron Anxiety by Alyssa Shelasky – the general consensus was that it just wasn’t cohesive enough.  Good way to start the weekend a day early!

tribal print top // Loft
gold circle necklace // Groop Dealz
navy blue cropped pants // Loft
silver rope sandals // eBay

Flip Flop Friday at the office!  Loft had a 50% off sale and I couldn’t resist these cropped pants.  They’re so cute!  I went to the gym again after work.  Friday night we stopped by a local favorite for dinner.

graphic tee // H&M
circle necklace // Mexico souvenir
striped maxi skirt // Gap
silver flats // PayLess

Highest temps since we moved here – in the 80’s!  We headed down to the Civic Center for the Gay Pride festivities.  Lots of fun people watching and a beautiful day to enjoy.  We only lasted a couple hours before the heat got to us, though – I’m not used to it anymore!

I’m linked up to The Pleated Poppy for WIWW!
