High Five for Friday!

High Five for Friday – the highlights of my week, five to be exact!  I love the idea of focusing on five little things that made me happy during the week, and it’s a fun exercise to stay in the moment!

1 – Pride 2013 festivities!  Nothing better than a sunny day and lots to celebrate.

2 – Just finished this book Attachments – so good!  Rainbow Rowell might be my new favorite contemporary writer.  I can’t wait for her next book to come out this fall!

3 – Rock Paper Scissors tournament pub crawl!  We decided to try out this pub crawl in North Beach, and it turned out to be a lot of fun!  Lots of hostels in the city participate, so we met people travelling from all over – Australia, Brazil, Germany, France, and a few locals too.  It was a fun Wednesday night, especially since we had the next day off!

4 – Picnic food is my favorite – our spread for Independence Day included hot dogs, chips and dip, pineapple, and lemonade.  And pound cake for dessert!

5 – To celebrate, we headed down to the wharves for a bay cruise during the fireworks.  The views were awesome on the bay and it was so much better than dealing with the crowds.  Fun stuff!

  1. Hello! I am super excited I found your blog via Lauren Elizabeth. I am a fellow book lover and blogger. I can’t wait to scour your blog for reading ideas, reviews, etc. (that sounded slightly creepy, for that I am sorry).

The rock, paper, scissors tournament sounded like it was a lot of fun!
