On Saturday night, I noticed an ad on the side of a bus for the American Craft Council Show… Sunday was the last day it was held, so I googled it right away and bought tickets! (I guess advertisements really do work!) It sounded right up my alley.
So Sunday morning, we took a bus down to Fisherman’s Wharves, and walked along the bay toward Fort Mason.
We stopped by the farmer’s market (blogged here from a couple weeks ago!) for some lunch first. I couldn’t help but snap a pic of the fresh flowers, always my favorite stall!
We headed over to the Fort Mason Center for the craft fair.
The stalls were full of impressive crafts… these were definitely professional artisans. I don’t think we were really the intended audience… I could appreciate the craftsmanship and admire the artistry, but we don’t exactly have the disposable income to afford any of the crafts…. so that was disappointing. Too bad I’m not made of money!
The eye candy was enjoyable, and so was the view on a cloudy day!
I picked up one last treat from the farmers market as it was shutting down (a gluten free coconut and lemon cupcake – so good!). The craft show was a fun outing, although not exactly what I was expecting… I guess I’m more of a flea market girl. We walked back toward the bus stop, and were done for the day!
More city sights coming soon as we explore San Francisco!
