High Five for Friday!

High Five for Friday!  I’m sharing the highlights of my week… five to be exact!  I love the idea of focusing on five little things that made me happy… definitely a fun way to recap the week and  and stay grateful!

1 – Sutro Bath Ruins.  Our weekend adventure was just what I needed to recharge and enjoy some time in the sun.  Someone needs to come visit me so I have an excuse to go again!

2 – New Hairdryer.  My old hairdryer that I’ve had for years and years has been making a funny whistling noise for the past couple weeks, so I bit the bullet and bought a new one before it died completely.  I found this one on Amazon’s bestseller list, and I love it… so much more powerful AND quieter than my old one!

3 – The Book of Lost Things, by John Connolly.  I finished this haunting book earlier in the week, and it’s still on my mind… a delightfully creepy fairy tale for adults.  It might just make it to my Top 10 Favorite Books of All Time!

4 – Pretty Makeup.  I use makeup long past it’s expiration date, until it’s worn down to a nub or completely scraped clean.  So after three years of using the same two eye shadows, I finally needed something new.  I waffled back and forth between the Urban Decay Naked Basics palette and the Too Faced Matte Palette, and finally went with Too Faced.  I love the pretty packaging and tutorial cards that come with it… plus the makeup itself is so pretty!

5 – Jury Duty.  Ok, so maybe this wasn’t an exciting highlight of my week… but hey, it was something different!  I’ve never been called for service before, so it was a new experience and actually pretty interesting to see the legal process up close.  Mostly a bunch of waiting… and some uninterrupted reading time!

I’m linking up with Lauren Elizabeth for H54F!
