Another week of What I Wore Wednesday!

The Amateur Librarian // What I Wore Wednesday

What I Wore Wednesday is my motivation for wearing the clothes I own, finding new ways to mix and match outfits, and not wearing the same three things all the time! I kept a fashion diary for the entire year of 2012, and now in 2013 I’m adding a bit about my days to go along with the outfit. So these weekly check-ins are a mini journal of my life too!

Lazy day at home, catching up on chores and working on my quilt.  Sundays feel completely different when the next day is a holiday!

For Memorial Day, we headed to a nearby park for a picnic lunch.  Lafayette Park has been recently renovated, and it is so pretty now!  It was nice to spend some time in the sun… the weather has been so nice lately, but it gets super claustrophobic if I stay cooped up inside all the time.  We procrastinated on the laundry… so I didn’t have any clean jeans to wear!  Oops… even though we didn’t have anything special planned for the holiday weekend, it was nice to have a relaxed day close to home.

skinny jeans // Old Navy via eBay
floral flats // eBay

Back to work… casual dress all week, which was fun.  I love the color of this tank, and pairing it with a neutral cardigan made it more office-casual appropriate.  The day back after a holiday is always busy, but at least it passed swiftly.  I went to the gym after work, it was nice to be back!

Hump Day comes quickly on a short week!  Another normal day at work, followed by the gym with a co-worker.  Nothing exciting to report, sorry!

nude skinny belt // Forever 21

I love the floral print of this dress, but with the drop waist and shorter length, I’m never quite sure if it’s work appropriate.  So I brought it out for casual week.  Thursday was super busy, but I’m feeling more confident in my new position so it wasn’t as stressful as it might have been a couple months ago.  Yay for progress!  After work, I went to the gym again and enjoyed another week of Project Runway.

Bonus!

Per the Timehop app, I wore this same dress exactly one year ago, also on a casual dress week!  Strange…

Another work week in the books.  Don’t short weeks seem long for some reason?  I suppose because you’re still doing the same amount of work crammed into a shorter amount of time.  Of course, Friday nights are always reason enough to celebrate with a glass of wine.  So we did just that at a local Mediterranean restaurant!

striped tee // Old Navy via thrift shop
cropped jeans // Aeropostale via eBay
silver flats // PayLess

Super lazy day at home… we didn’t even do laundry.  I worked on a few crafty things and it was glorious.  Finished up the night in North Beach, feasting at one of our favorite Italian places.

I’m linked up to The Pleated Poppy for WIWW!
