City Sights: Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival

Last weekend was the annual Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival.  We decided to go on Saturday, and we had so much fun!

We stopped by the library first (I had to return some books and pick up a hold), then took the bus to Golden Gate Park.  The festival is pretty huge – six stages with different musicians throughout each day.  Our first stop was the First Aid tent… I forgot sunscreen, but they had plenty!  I felt much better afterwards, especially because it was HOT out… it’s our Indian Summer like usual, but it seems a lot hotter this year.  We ate food, visited all the stages, and settled down for Nick Lowe.

My library book went on an adventure!  I was probably the only person at a music festival toting a library book along…

We tried to stay hydrated… one smoothie and two lemonades, so good!

We headed home around 5 PM before the crowds left.  The festival was fun… but we were exhausted!

More city sights coming soon as we continue to explore San Francisco!
