Another week of What I Wore Wednesday!

The Amateur Librarian // What I Wore Wednesday

What I Wore Wednesday is my motivation for wearing the clothes I own, finding new ways to mix and match outfits, and not wearing the same three things all the time! I kept a fashion diary for the entire year of 2012, and now in 2013 I’m adding a bit about my days to go along with the outfit. So these weekly check-ins are a mini journal of my life too!

skinny jeans // Abercrombie & Fitch via eBay
silver flats // PayLess

Sunday was a rough day.  I was feeling discouraged and frustrated because of health stuff, plus I was worn out after a busy week of travelling and catching up at work.  It all sort of collided together at once… it was just one of those days.  But at least I have my best friend to cheer me up.  We had tickets to the Comedy Bang Bang tour at the Palace of Fine Arts, so we headed to that part of the city for dinner before the show.  The show was great, and then we stayed up late to watch the Breaking Bad finale…  it ended up being a good way to wrap up a not-so-great day.

peter pan collar navy print top // IG closet
cream cardigan // Loft
grey pants // old
patent sling backs // PayLess

I really didn’t want to get up on Monday morning and face a day of work… but life goes on whether I’m feeling OK or not.  I felt a little sloppy in this outfit, but I love the peter pan collar and animal print.  Sam and I met up for lunch, which was a nice break in the day.  We visited some nearby food trucks, then headed to a park to eat.  After work, I went to the gym and ran a few errands.

turquoise bubble necklace // GroopDealz
beige cardigan // Ann Taylor
pleated print skirt // Kohl’s
nude heels // PayLess

My week started looking up by Tuesday… I was feeling better enough that I didn’t need pain meds all day, and I finally felt caught up at work.  I love this colorful skirt that my Mom picked out during one of our shopping sprees… it’s hard to believe it’s already been more than a week since my trip.  After work, I went to the gym again.

jade pleated top // GroopDealz
blazer // Loft
Pippa necklace // gift
black skinny pants // Loft
black tipped flats // PayLess

My mom helped me pick out this new blazer, and I love it!  I had a CEU class during lunch, so I had to look somewhat professional.  After work I went to the gym again.  It was so nice to feel back to normal and pain-free!

floral print dress // Forever 21 via eBay
seed pearls // inherited
dolman sleeve cardigan // Ann Taylor outlet
grey tights // Gap
ankle strap heels // eBay

I was running late to work on Thursday, so my fashion diaries took place in the bathroom.  Easy dress for work and transitioning to going out afterwards with Sam’s office to the Exploratorium museum’s adults-only After Hours.  It was so much fun!  So many cool experiments and hands-on science, almost to the point of being overwhelming.  We stayed a few hours and ate dinner in the cafeteria, then headed home.  Of course my Thursday night isn’t complete without Project Runway!

brown/pink ikat print top // thrifted
brown shrug // Ann Taylor outlet
skinny jeans // Abercrombie & Fitch via eBay
ankle strap wedges // PayLess

Easy casual outfit for Casual Friday at work.  The day seemed to pass by quickly, and I went to the gym again after work.  I feel like I’m finally looking forward to working out again and getting back in my exercise groove after slacking off for a few weeks.

skinny jeans // Aeropostale via eBay
nude flats // PayLess

We decided to visit the Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival for the day.  The festival was huge, with six stages and a good portion of Golden Gate Park.  The weather was pretty hot, but still enjoyable in the shade with lots of lemonade.  We had fun wandering around and people watching, then claiming a spot for Nick Lowe’s show.  We were exhausted afterwards!  We had already bought movie tickets to see Gravity in the Imax 3D theatre, so we had popcorn for dinner.  The movie was good, pretty tense but visually stunning.  It was quite an unexpectedly busy Saturday!

I’m linked up to The Pleated Poppy for WIWW!
