Ready for Fall

September, October, November… it’s the time of year when all of social media is buzzing about Pumpkin spice lattes and cardigans and boots and knitting… but here in San Francisco, it’s Indian Summer time.  All summer it was cool and breezy, but now that the weather is starting to turn for the rest of the country, over here we’re cranking up the fans and sweating through the nights.

Can you tell I’m not really a fan of Indian Summer?  The sun is nice and all… but I miss my air conditioning.

But it is October after all, so it’s about time that I pulled out the fall decor.  I love the holiday season, and even though it doesn’t feel like it yet, it’s time to usher in the season!

A bit of Halloween for the living room:

And some harvest/Thanksgiving touches for the kitchen:

I don’t have much space to go big with decorations, and sometimes it’s hard to get excited about decorating.  Nobody comes be to see the apartment, there’s no space for a wreath or a mantel or table tops… but I love having a little something to remind me of the changing seasons.  Plus, it’s fun to pull out stuff I’ve made the year before for that feeling of new traditions.

Speaking of which… I didn’t keep them for another year, but my Cursive Skeletons have started getting some Pinterest attention, so I thought I’d share the link again.

Oops… didn’t mean for this to be a link fest, but I haven’t made any new seasonal things this year…. yet… 🙂

Happy Fall, y’all!
