High Five for Friday!
I’m sharing the highlights of my week… five to be exact! I love the idea of focusing on five little things that made me happy… definitely a fun way to recap the week and and stay grateful.
1 – Grace Cathedral. We visited Grace to see the new art installation, and it was so nice to soak up the beauty and calm for a bit. And when I blogged about it on Tuesday, my tweet was favorited by Grace Cathedral! Very cool.
2 – Flowers. Hubby surprised me with a bouquet of gorgeous fall flowers after my infusion last week, and it was such a sweet gesture. With everything going on, it’s hard to appreciate the little moments of grace but this was one of them.
3 – Sewing 101. I signed up for a sewing class a few weeks ago, and then couldn’t make the first class. But I lugged my sewing machine to the Mission and made it to the second class. It was a great break to socialize a bit and fun to learn something new!
4 – New curtains. My mama picked out some new curtains for the bedroom, and I love them. Now the bedroom doesn’t get quite as hot during the day, and it’s great at blocking out the city lights that always kept us up at night. Why did it take us so long to come up with such a simple solution?
5 – Lunch. Even something as simple as lunch together is a sign of normalcy, and I’ll take every “normal” moment I can get these days.
I’m linking up with Lauren Elizabeth for H54F!
