High Five for Friday!
I’m sharing the highlights of my week… five to be exact! I love the idea of focusing on five little things that made me happy… definitely a fun way to recap the week and and stay grateful.
1 – iPad Mini. Early Christmas present! It’s hard for me not to feel guilty about big purchases and it’s not in my nature at all to want the latest and greatest gadget, but I’ve decided to put all that guilt aside in this case. I’ve got enough to worry about, so I’ve made a conscious decision to take this item off that list… and so I’m enjoying my new toy!
2 – City Views. Sometimes I’m sick to death of missing my family and feeling so far away, but since I’m here right now I might as well enjoy what beauty I can find. And there’s a lot of it to be found in San Francisco, like the cityscape view from Lafayette Park.
3 – Gingerbread Lane. Super duper excited to have a new project to work on, and it’s getting me into the holiday spirit for sure! I love the mystery aspect, and looking forward to the new pattern each week is half the fun! (Blogged here for more details.)
4 – Needle minder. I love notions and sewing accessories, so I jumped all over the needle minder trend. The magnet keeps the needle safely on top of the fabric, so no more lost needles in the couch… plus, it’s so pretty!
5 – Batkid. So this is technically from last week, but I still have warm fuzzy feelings about getting to witness one stop of Batkid’s journey through San Francisco. It was such a sweet story and really cool to see how it snowballed into a huge social media event. I was even on the news!
I’m linking up with Lauren Elizabeth for H54F!
