Another week of What I Wore Wednesday!
What I Wore Wednesday is my motivation for wearing the clothes I own, finding new ways to mix and match outfits, and not wearing the same three things all the time! I kept a fashion diary for the entire year of 2012, and now in 2013 I’m adding a bit about my days to go along with the outfit. So these weekly check-ins are a mini journal of my life too!

black tights // Walgreens

This outfit felt a little dark, but I guess it’s the season now for that. We visited Grace Cathedral for an early service, which was about as pretty as you would imagine. The rest of the day was a little shaky, but nothing some time alone at the nail salon couldn’t cure.

Time to break out my cardigan collection again now that the weather is cooling off. I can’t say it was a great day… I was mostly worrying all day about everything going on, and work was even more hectic than usual so that didn’t help my anxiety. I decided that I wouldn’t be able to keep up with the Sewing 101 class, which was a bummer, but after the decision was made I was mostly relieved. I’d like to be social and get out of the house, but sometimes it’s nice to just say no to a few unnecessary obligations.

Grey for a gloomy rainy day. November 19 is a popular day for birthdays – my Mama shares with a few good friends all on one day. Some days are harder than others to keep up an optimistic view, and that’s all I’ll say about that.

Grey rainy day #2. This sweater can be hard to wear because it can shift from “blousy” to “baggy” throughout the day, but it’s so cozy that I forgive it. It was our last night with Sam’s grandmother, which was bittersweet. We made one last visit to a favorite restaurant (Pancho’s) and Bob’s for donuts. It’s hard to believe our teeny tiny one-bedroom/bathroom apartment accommodated three different visitors so pleasantly for 4 weeks, but that’s probably because of great guests!

red print skirt // Loft

ankle strap heels // eBay
Somehow I haven’t worn this skirt yet from my shopping spree in Alabama… way back in September! I love an easy skirt that can be worn just as easily at the office or on a casual weekend day. Sam’s grandmother left early in the morning to catch her flight, which was a sad goodbye. The first day on our own without family reinforcements went just fine, which gave me hope that everything is truly on the mend… and hope is a good feeling!
leaf print top // Kohl’s
sailboat pendant // GroopDealz
cream cardigan // Loft
skinny jeans // Abercrombie & FItch via eBay
nude flats // PayLess
Another Casual Friday at the office. The work day seemed slow, maybe because my mind is already on the holiday. We celebrated Friday night with dinner and a movie back home on the couch… my kind of night!

mint chevron necklace // Groopdealz

Busy errand day catching up on laundry, cleaning, and running around. We went to the matinee showing of Hunger Games: Catching Fire… so good!
