High Five for Friday!

High Five for Friday!

I’m sharing the highlights of my week… five to be exact!  I love the idea of focusing on five little things that made me happy… definitely a fun way to recap the week and  and stay grateful.  I had to write this post before we left yesterday, so consider this the pre-Thanksgiving highlights!

1 – Technology.  I’ve found an awesome use for my new iPad mini… displaying my cross stitch pattern!  Very convenient when I don’t have space to spread the paper patterns all over the place.

2 – Christmas music.  I resisted as long as I could, but this week I finally started listening to Christmas music at work.  It definitely makes the day go by faster.

3 – Hunger Games: Catching Fire.  The movie was so good – better than the first, I think!  (Pet peeve: I was very happy the shaky cam did not make a reappearance so I could actually see what was going on this time!)

4 – First Holiday Purchase.  I’m really, really trying to keep it simple this year… in fact, I’m planning on doing a major purge of our holiday decorations as soon as we get back from San Diego.  But… I just couldn’t resist this sweet Noel sign.  I justified the purchase because it was under $10 plus it’s flat and will be easy to store… at least that’s what I told myself.

5 – San Diego.  I was nervous about going on a trip while everything is still up in the air healthwise, but this week the anticipation has won over.  I hope the trip is a fun distraction… there’s been a shortage of fun the past few weeks!

I’m linking up with Lauren Elizabeth for H54F!
