High Five for Friday!

High Five for Friday!

I’m sharing the highlights of my week… five to be exact!  I love the idea of focusing on five little things that made me happy… definitely a fun way to recap the week and  and stay grateful.

1 – San Diego.  Our trip to San Diego over the Thanksgiving holiday was great!  It was so nice to get away for a while and explore a new city, especially because the transition back to work was pretty rough.  Sometimes it seems like we can’t catch a break lately, but I’m trying to savor the good memories.

2 – The Tree!  I haven’t had time to get the ornaments and decorations out, but I couldn’t resist setting up the tree for some holiday glow every night.

3 – New gym.  I haven’t worked out since October, but I finally decided that I need to start taking care of myself again.  I tried out a new gym and also went to my old gym a couple more times… I’m still trying to decide what to do!

4 – Sewing machine.  When I attempted to take part in a local sewing class, I left my machine in the building.  My friend offered to bring it by my apartment, and I was so happy to see it again!  I haven’t felt like sewing anything lately, but it’s nice to have it back with me.

5 – Call the Midwife.  I’m reading Jennifer Worth’s third book about her experiences as a London midwife during the 1950s, and I’ll be sad when the series is over!  Her writing is great, and the content is fascinating… even if it is heart wrenching (and sometimes intensely graphic) too.  Makes me thankful for modern comforts!

I’m linking up with Lauren Elizabeth for H54F!
