High Five for Friday!
I’m sharing the highlights of my week… five to be exact! I love the idea of focusing on five little things that made me happy… definitely a fun way to recap the week and and stay grateful.
1 – Dress shopping. I visited a new town on the BART stop – Colma – to go bridesmaid dress shopping for my BFF’s wedding in April. It’s tough doing the long distance thing, but we made it work… I tried on the dresses, Sam snapped pics to text to the bride… and in the end, we successfully found a dress! (Not the one pictured, just a teaser!)
2 – Flax. I’ve heard that Flax is the mecca of art stores in SF… and the rumors are true! It was a lot of fun just to walk around and check it all out – and of course I found a few art supplies to come home with me.
3 – Inside Llewyn Davis. We decided to be spontaneous and see a movie on a Tuesday night – gotta love gift cards! Inside Llewyn Davis was funny, sweet, sad… good stuff with great acting. It’s a thinker.
4 – Gingerbread Lane. I finally finished! Didn’t make the Christmas deadline, but I’m OK with that. Once I find a frame, I’ll put together the final post with more pics. It was fun to rediscover cross stitching after a hiatus of several years!
5 – Once Upon a Time Sampler. The first portion of the new mystery sampler from Frosted Pumpkin Stitchery is coming out… today! The floss finally arrived this week, just in the nick of time. I’ve been counting down the days to get started!
I’m linking up with Lauren Elizabeth for H54F!
