High Five for Friday!

I’m sharing the highlights of my week… five to be exact!  I love the idea of focusing on five little things that made me happy… definitely a fun way to recap the week and  and stay grateful.

1 – #thegreatfabricdestash.  Last week there was a hashtag trending among the quilting community on Instagram with lots of quilters unloading their “stash” of fabric for great prices.  I couldn’t resist the temptation, and this week quite a few happy little packages have made their way to my address!

2 – January block.  I finished the January portion for the Once Upon a Time sampler… Snow White is so cute!  I’m working on the border as  I go.  More details next week!

3 – Her.  We saw the movie Her last weekend and it was really good!  The not-so-distant future is fascinating and totally believable, which led to all kinds of fun conversation after the movie was over.  I love movies like that!

4 – Valentine Stitching.  I started a little V Day stitching… here’s a sneak peek! (Pattern from Frosted Pumpkin Stitchery of course!)

5 – Quilty Stitches Sampler Along.  A cross stitch sampler of quilt blocks… two of my favorite things!  I didn’t intend to start another sampler project… but somehow I found myself ordering the floss anyway… oops!  Another fun side project.
