Another week of What I Wore Wednesday!

The Amateur Librarian // What I Wore Wednesday

What I Wore Wednesday is my motivation for wearing the clothes I own, finding new ways to mix and match outfits, and not wearing the same three things all the time! I kept a fashion diary for the entire year of 2012, in 2013 I added a bit about my days to go along with the outfit, and I’m continuing the same tradition in 2014… So these weekly check-ins are a mini journal of my life too!

Leaf print top // Ann Taylor outlet
skinny jeans // Abercrombie & Fitch via eBay
nude flats // PayLess

Wrapped up the weekend with a quiet day at home.  I made my mama’s potato chowder for lunch, and we hunkered down for he Grammy’s.  I have to admit that the red carpet was more interesting than the show itself… it just seemed like everyone was trying too hard to be “unique” and ended up just being baffling.  I didn’t even make it to the end… oh well, I’m ready for the Oscars!

Wrap top // Loft via eBay
black cami underneath // Old Navy
black skinny pants // Gap
slingback wedges // PayLess

Monday came too soon, as usual.  Easy outfit for work, love my new black pants!  My other pair of skinny work pants were getting pretty saggy but these seem like they’ll hold up better.  After work I caught up on Downton Abbey – I’m still sticking with it even though this season hasn’t been my favorite so far.

Black tank dress // Loft
tuxedo lapel cardigan // Belk
red stone necklace // eBay
black tights // Gap
ankle strap heels // eBay

Black, white, and red isn’t my favorite color combo but it’s so easy to put together, especially for a work look.  My childhood friend Sarah is travelling with a theatre production nearby – it killed me that we were in the same state for once, but we couldn’t meet up!  She was super busy with the show and hubby had to work late so I wasn’t brave enough to try to find my way to Berkeley for the one-night showing alone… but it was still cool to be in the same area again, however briefly.

Polka dot sweater // Belk
black skinny pants // Gap
black flats // PayLess

Yep, same black pants twice in one week.  No shame in my game, because I love these pants!  After work I went to a Pilates class and I really enjoyed it… although I don’t know if I’ll ever be able to do teasers.  I just kind of do some halfhearted crunches while everyone else bangs them out effortlessly.  Oh well, maybe one day!  It was really nice to work out again, and I’m going to try to continue at least weekly.

Teal empire waist dress // Target
floral cardigan // Old Navy via eBay
Pippa necklace // gift
grey tights // Gap
ankle boots // Nine West via eBay

I can tell I haven’t worked out in a while, because I was super sore from that Pilates class!  In a good way, though.  Another normal day at work, followed by our weekly tradition of pizza and Project Runway… actually, this season is Under the Gunn but we all know it’s basically the same thing.  But with more Mondo and Anya!  Nick, I can live without.

Ikat print tee // Kohl’s
navy cardigan // Loft
skinny jeans // Old Navy via eBay
nude flats // PayLess

Another infusion day, so comfy clothes are necessary.  Worked a half day and headed to the hospital in the afternoon.  I’m always a little groggy afterwards, so we had a quiet night catching up on the DVR.  Got some good news, so it seemed like an extra special night to celebrate, even if we spent it watching TV on the couch.

green v-neck // Gap
skinny jeans // Kohl’s

Fun Saturday filled with errands… and some stitching since the new February block for the Once Upon a Time sampler was released!  We headed  to Colma mid-afternoon to pick up my bridesmaid dress and get the alterations started. Busy day and a great start to the weekend.

I’m linked up to The Pleated Poppy for WIWW!
