We’ve been in the Nashville area for about two weeks now, and we’re finally feeling a bit more settled. The big stuff is out of the way: we have a place to live, a car to drive, doctor appointments set up, and our stuff finally arrived. Now it’s time to get down to the fun part – exploring our new city! We’re living in Franklin, a suburb of Nashville where hubby’s job is also located, about 20 minutes from Nashville. So I’ll be adding new adventures to my City Sights page – I’m sure we’ll find lots to do in Franklin, Nashville, and the surrounding areas!
When my parents were in town this past weekend, we finally had time to look around a bit and play tourists. I’ll get those pics into separate posts when I have time to organize them (I’m a bit overwhelmed with boxes at the moment!). So below are a few of my first impressions from our first couple weeks here…
Lots of driving! Lots of beautiful scenery too, especially when all the trees were tipped with ice!
We’ve been to Chick-fil-A oh… maybe five times already. What can we say, we missed it! Fresh flowers at every table don’t hurt, either.
We met one of our new neighbors! Maybe we can arrange a play date with Cora and Tali (ha!)
First song and first dinner in the new car… and yes, we took Sonic home because we were too afraid of spills!
There are tons of cool antique stores in historical downtown Franklin. We browsed through one… and it took us all afternoon!
There are so many sweet details in the historical downtown… love them!
In all, I think I’m going to like this place…
More city sights coming soon as we explore the Nashville area!
