WIWW: March 9-15, 2014

Another week of What I Wore Wednesday!

The Amateur Librarian // What I Wore Wednesday

What I Wore Wednesday is my motivation for wearing the clothes I own, finding new ways to mix and match outfits, and not wearing the same three things all the time! I kept a fashion diary for the entire year of 2012, in 2013 I added a bit about my days to go along with the outfit, and I’m continuing the same tradition in 2014… So these weekly check-ins are a mini journal of my life too!

Last day in our hotel, and I was pretty excited!  My parents drove back home, but we had the promise of another visit in less than a week – I’m really enjoying living closer already!  We got everything ready to check out in the morning… all of our stuff fit into one carload, which was convenient for sure.

Move-in day!  After hubby went to work I picked up the keys and moved into our new apartment.  With no furniture and only a couple suitcases, it only took a few trips.  I got the bathroom and air mattress set up, and that’s all there was to it – like camping with electricity!

Lots of errands to run, but mostly it was just a waiting game – waiting for the cable guy, waiting for the appliances, waiting for the movers to call…

After hubby got off work, we went by the Honda dealership to test drive a couple models… and even though we didn’t plan on it, we went ahead and signed on the dotted line!  It was super exciting to drive away with our brand new car… now I’m just crossing my fingers that we don’t ding it any time soon!

My parents came to town, and we spent the afternoon exploring downtown Franklin.  It was a happy day, marred by a terrible tragedy.  One of my friends was involved in the drunk driving accident at SXSW, and I found out Thursday night that she was in critical condition.  It’s so surreal to have so many good and exciting changes happening in my life at the same time as this heartbreaking accident.

First infusion in TN, and it went really well.  The facilities are great, the nurses were gentle, and everything went smoothly – about as good as it gets.  My parents treated us to a housewarming present of an outdoor furniture set, which was really sweet – and with no furniture, it was extra appreciated so we could at least sit somewhere to eat breakfast!  We went to Puckett’s Boat House for dinner and live music, which was a fun way to end a busy day.

After we returned our rental car, we had a free day to explore Nashville before my parents went back home.  We started out at the J. Percy Priest dam and lake, then walked a bit on the Stones River Greenway before  sightseeing in downtown Nashville and eating lunch at Merchants.  Hubby and I were exhausted so we headed home for a nap, but my parents just kept on going!  They have way more energy than we do, ha!  We got the call from the movers that they were arriving the very next day… fun stuff!
