When my parents visited last weekend, we had a day to explore some of Nashville. Below is a photo dump of a few sights we visited – the first of many, I’m sure!
After returning our rental car, we started at the J. Percy Priest Dam and surrounding lakes. Beautiful area with lots of ducks and geese!
After driving around and checking out the marina, we headed across the street to see the Stones River Greenway. We only walked a mile, but the greenway had great trails that stretched on for quite a ways. There were lots of joggers and dogs since it was Saturday morning.
Around lunch time, we headed to downtown Nashville. The honky tonks are always fun for sightseeing, but a bit too loud to actually eat at… we walked through several bars before settling at Merchants for a really nice lunch.
Afterwards, we walked over the bridge for views of the the waterway and the downtown skyline.
The weather was beautiful and the city was too – I can’t wait to get to know the area better!
More city sights coming soon as we explore the Nashville area!
Love the pics!
