High Five for Friday!
I’m sharing the highlights of my week… five to be exact! I love the idea of focusing on five little things that made me happy… definitely a fun way to recap the week and and stay grateful.
1 – Spring! Last week we had snow and this week we’ve had lots of sun… the difference in temps is crazy! Now everything is in bloom and I love it.
2 – Grand Budapest Hotel. We saw Wes Anderson’s new movie last weekend and it was a totally delightful experience. I don’t even care about the plot, I just like to drink in all the prettiness. But it was also pretty hilarious, so it was a win-win! It also gave us the chance to check out the local movie theatre and buy a reusable “annual popcorn bowl” so now I feel like an official resident… even more than when we got our drivers licenses!
3 – Exercise. It’s weird being unemployed because I have no structure or routines, so even though I theoretically have all the time in the world to work out or craft or read all day long, I actually don’t… I guess because it doesn’t feel very productive when I should be job searching or running errands. But this week I made it a point to walk to a little pond that I’ve passed by and it was great! Just being outside and moving around made me feel better for the rest of the day.
4 – Jelly roll. Speaking of making time to do enjoyable things even though they don’t feel “productive”… the sewing machine is officially up and running! I love cutting into a jelly roll, it’s so satisfying.
5 – Cat door. We ordered a cat door that fits into our existing sliding glass door so the cats have access to the porch without us having to open and close the door all the time. I’m hoping to move the litter box out there in the storage closet, but first they have to figure out how to use the new door flap… it’s pretty funny to watch them learn something new.
I’m linking up with Lauren Elizabeth for H54F!
