High Five for Friday!
I’m sharing the highlights of my week… five to be exact! I love the idea of focusing on five little things that made me happy… definitely a fun way to recap the week and and stay grateful.
1 – Little Houses Quilt. I started working on a quilt of little houses this week, and it’s been so much fun sewing again. (I’m using the pattern from Esch House Quilts that I mentioned earlier this week.)
2 – Bachelorette in a Box. I am counting down the days until my BFF’s wedding at the end of April – I can’t wait to spend some time at the beach for such a fun occasion! There hasn’t been time for a bachelorette party so I sent a few goodies until we can plan a fun girls’ weekend later in the year… and I had so much fun picking out mint and coral items, likr bath bombs and lip balm and wine glass charms and other little girly things 🙂
3 – Stuff You Missed in History Class. I’m used to sewing with the TV on in the background, but now that my sewing machine is set up in the guest room I’ve been listening to a lot of podcasts lately. My current favorite is Stuff You Missed in History Class – each episode is about 30 minutes and focuses on the details that you might not know about various moments from history. So interesting! I love that it’s completely random; some of my favorite episodes include the history of undergarments, the Salem witch trials, Jesse Owens and the Nazi Olympics, Rose Bertin the first fashion designer, and the list goes on!
4 – Foxy tin. I found a new tin box on clearance for $1.50 at Target and it’s absolutely perfect to keep my Once Upon a Time sampler supplies all together.
5 – Walking. I’ve been continuing my daily walks to the little pond and every day I see something new. These Canadian geese were taking a nap on the sidewalk one morning, and I’ve also seen ducks and blue herons! According to Google Maps, the round trip distance from the apartment is 2.5 miles, so I feel pretty good about keeping up my little route every day that I can.

I’m linking up with Lauren Elizabeth for H54F!
Love the Houses Quilt, the pod cast info (great idea!), all of it!
