I’m doing the Once Upon a Time cross stitch sampler from Frosted Pumpkin Stitchery.  Each month features a different fairy tale, and it’s so fun to find out what story will be revealed next!

April’s block shows Goldilocks and the Three Bears.  I love the little details – three bowls of porridge and the pot to cook it, the chair and bed, and even a little bee buzzing among the flowers.  It was slow going at first – I had a few counting errors and used a couple wrong colors, but once I got in a groove I knocked it out in a weekend and had a lot of fun.  Cross stitching is so relaxing – and with the nice weather lately I’m especially loving stitching outside with a podcast and a cat or two nearby 🙂
