High Five for Friday!

High Five for Friday!

I’m sharing the highlights of my week… five to be exact!  I love the idea of focusing on five little things that made me happy… definitely a fun way to recap the week and  and stay grateful.

1 – Wedding.  A huge highlight of my week, especially since it gave my family an excuse to spend some time together at the beach! My BFF’s beach wedding was absolutely beautiful, she was a stunning bride, and I was honored to be her maid of honor!

2 – Beach.  Reading a book with the waves crashing and sun shining is probably my happiest of happy places.

3 – Family. So fun to party with my fam this week!! I got to hang out with my brother and his girlfriend, my parents, and even my aunt and uncle whom I haven’t seen in almost 5 years! Three cheers for family!

4 – Arcade Fire.  Due to the bad weather and flight delays, I flew home a day later than planned.  Hubby surprised me with tickets to see Arcade Fire last night… it was an amazing show!  Such a fun night.

5 – Design wall. Before I left for the beach, I rearranged the guest room a bit and made room for a makeshift design wall. For now it’s just a scrap piece of batting thumb tacked to the wall, but later I plan to make something more permanent (and bigger!). It’s like a giant felt board for quilts in progress, and it’s super fun to play with! Cora enjoys hanging out behind the curtains, of course. I’m taking advantage of the last few days I have to play… Because I’m starting a new job next week! More on that later 😉

I’m linking up with Lauren Elizabeth for H54F!
