Another week of What I Wore Wednesday!

The Amateur Librarian // What I Wore Wednesday

What I Wore Wednesday is my motivation for wearing the clothes I own, finding new ways to mix and match outfits, and not wearing the same three things all the time! I kept a fashion diary for the entire year of 2012, in 2013 I added a bit about my days to go along with the outfit, and I’m continuing the same tradition in 2014… So these weekly check-ins are a mini journal of my life too!

neon Cape May tee // Gap
skinny jeans // Kohl’s
cutout flats // PayLess
Another busy weekend wrapping up chores, getting the house organized, and crossing off items on the To-Do list.  Started the day with a walk, and after telling hubby all about the baby Canadian geese and the adopted duckling, we went for another walk after dinner to visit them.  I’ve had a hankering for fresh guacamole lately, so I made some for a snack and ended up eating it for dinner too!

Another normal Monday.  As soon as I started working again I dove right back into my work week outfit schedule – black pants on Monday/Wednesday, skirt/dress on Tuesday/Thursday, and Casual Friday!  It may not be the most original, but it definitely helps me plan ahead so I’m not throwing fifty tops on the floor each morning.  Works for me!  Finished up the last of the guacamole on top of beans and rice… and smothered with cheese, of course!

striped dress // Target
knit shrug // Ann Taylor outlet
pearl bead necklace // eBay
wedge sandals // Naturalizer
This is probably one of my favorite Target purchases – and now that my office is more casual, I don’t worry as much about whether it’s strictly “office appropriate” or not, which is nice.  I woke up a bit earlier to get some bloodwork done – thank goodness for quick and gentle nurses!  Otherwise, just another Tuesday.

polka dot tunic // Loft
chain detail cardigan // Kohl’s
multi-metal tassel necklace // Charming Charlie’s
black skinny pants // Gap
red patent wedge heels // PayLess
My birthday eve!  Celebrated with a Sonic treat, because why not? Still going strong with the black and red combo – I can see why some people just stick to all black all the time – it’s just so easy to put together and go, yet still look put together.

red+blue print shirtdress // Kohl’s
red cardigan // Loft
gold circle necklace // GroopDealz
wedge sandals // Naturalizer
The big 2-7.  Except no one actually says that, because creeping closer to 30 make all the runner up years seem insignificant. Pretty chill day, which was exactly what I wanted.  Favorite dress, birthday cards to open, surprise cake at the office, and low-key dinner at home.  Saved the celebration shenanigans for the weekend – extra bonus for a long weekend that usually falls right around the same time!

plaid button down // Kohl’s
silver leaf initial necklace // Etsy
skinny jeans // Kohl’s
cutout flats // PayLess
Another Casual Friday!  Jam-packed day working, driving to Nashville for an appointment, then back to the apartment to clean get ready for guests.  Otherwise a quiet Friday night, excited for my brother and gf to visit the next day to kick off the weekend festivities!

Day to Night in Nashville – a late lunch at the Poor House, followed by browsing the massive Flea Market and a night out on Broadway.  Fun times!  Mostly it was just fun to hang out with my brother and his gf… it makes me so happy to live on the same side of the country again!
