Another week of What I Wore Wednesday!

The Amateur Librarian // What I Wore Wednesday

What I Wore Wednesday is my motivation for wearing the clothes I own, finding new ways to mix and match outfits, and not wearing the same three things all the time! I kept a fashion diary for the entire year of 2012, in 2013 I added a bit about my days to go along with the outfit, and I’m continuing the same tradition in 2014… So these weekly check-ins are a mini journal of my life too!

floral print top // Old Navy
skinny jeans // Aeropostale via eBay
macrame flip flops // PayLess
It’s always nice to get all the chores done on Saturday, and leave Sunday for laziness!  I woke up early to walk again, which was a good thing since it turned out to be a super hot day, and I would’ve been roasting if I’d left any later.  I’m completely hooked on JK Rowling’s detective novel The Cuckoo’s Calling on audiobook, and I listened to it off and on all day.

black+white print dress // Loft
black cami underneath // Old Navy
triangle necklace // Everyday Icing
Ronaldo bracelets // gift
red cardigan // Tommy Hilfiger outlet
nude wedge sandals // Naturalizer
Back to the real world again… love an easy black+white dress to throw on with a cardigan – my closet is full of them!  My favorite new addition is another Ronaldo bracelet from my in-laws – I love how dainty they are together!  Out to lunch with the team at work which was fun – especially trying out new places around town.

teal top // GroopDealz
flower + bead pendant // Old Navy
grey pants // old
black heels // PayLess
This is one of those outfits that I love to wear but doesn’t make for a very exciting fashion diary.  It’s just the usual work outfit formula, but I feel put together all day and don’t feel like I’m trying too hard.  Busy day at work again – the hours just flew by.

geometric print dress // Deep South Pout
gold+tangerine triangle pendant // eBay
wedge sandals // Naturalizer
Pretty normal day in the life.  I’ve been trying to avoid buying a new dress for a summer wedding coming up, so I’ve been auditioning possible candidates… and I think this one might work for the rehearsal dinner.  Still on the search for the wedding, though!  I own a lot of black or black+white dresses, but they don’t feel very summery.  The hunt continues!

mint bow print top // Loft
black skinny pants // Gap
ankle strap heels // eBay
Busy day at work, but mostly I just wanted to get home to say hello to my mama!  She drove up from AL to go to my infusion the next day, and she brought along the old Toyota Camry that I learned to drive in – and after 15 years it’s still going strong enough for us to inherit it!

blue print top // Kohl’s
silver leaf initial necklace // Etsy
skinny jeans // Old Navy via eBay
cutout flats // PayLess
Half day at work, then on to the hospital for my infusion.  It’s great to have someone there with me, especially driving home afterwards when I’m still pretty groggy.  We ate a great dinner at home and visited a nearby pond with lots of resident geese.  One of these days we’ll remember the bread – they seem to expect it!

Mom and I started off the weekend with a walk around the neighborhood, then headed to downtown Franklin for the tour of historical homes.  Lots of fun to peek inside so many homes around downtown, plus a great lunch at Gray’s and a mid-afternoon treat at Sweet Cece’s.  Fun but exhausting day!

I’m linked up to The Pleated Poppy for WIWW!
