Happy Independence Day!
It’s also High Five for Friday! I’m sharing the highlights of my week… five to be exact! I love the idea of focusing on five little things that made me happy… definitely a fun way to recap the week and and stay grateful.
1 – Hootenanny. Over the weekend we drove up to East Nashville for the last night of Hootenany – any time you combine free music and food trucks, we’re there!
2 – Thread Storage. I’ve been looking for some functional but cute thread storage FOREVER and finally found this old Coca Cola crate at a local antique shop a couple weeks ago. I finally got it up on the wall, and I love it! I hung a couple prints from Little Things Studio’s scrap sale too, which is making the guest room feel a lot homier!
3 – Mini Finish! I finished up the Michael Miller challenge hosted by the Modern Quilt Guild – we had a pack of fat-eights to play with and I didn’t want to buy any additional fabric, so I made a mini quilt. I still need to enter it in the contest and take some more pics, so expect that on the blog next week. Love the happy colors!
4 – Greetings from the Beach. The new July block of the Once Upon a Time sampler came out this week (so cute!) but I’m holding off on picking that back up while I’m working on another Frosted Pumpkin pattern – Greetings from the Beach! I can’t resist mermaids.
5 – Road Trip! Today’s we’re braving the traffic to drive down to my parents’ in AL for the holiday, and tomorrow we’re heading to the beach for some fun in the sun with hubby’s family. I’m excited!!
I’m linking up with Lauren Elizabeth for H54F!
