WIWW: July 13-19, 2014

Another week of What I Wore Wednesday!

The Amateur Librarian // WIWW

What I Wore Wednesday is my motivation for wearing the clothes I own, finding new ways to mix and match outfits, and not wearing the same three things all the time! I kept a fashion diary for the entire year of 2012, in 2013 I added a bit about my days to go along with the outfit, and I’m continuing the same tradition in 2014… So these weekly check-ins are a mini journal of my life too!

navy capris // Loft
while flip flops // Old Navy
Another beautiful weekend.  Lots of errands to run while it rained on and off.  I managed to spend some time with an audiobook (Peter and the Starcatchers by Dave Barry – fun stuff!) and my sewing machine – currently working toward a couple finishes that I’m excited about!  It’s so nice to have a few creative projects in the mix with everyday life.

navy top with lace shoulders // Old Navy
tassel necklace // Charming Charlie’s
black skinny pants // Gap
cork sandals // PayLess
Another Monday.  I found this top on clearance and really like the simple shape with a bit of interest with the lace- gotta love a deal!  Pretty good work day, followed by a stormy night at home.

blue wrap dress // Ann Taylor
Pippa necklace // Stella & Dot
Ronaldo bracelets // gift
nude wedges // Naturalizer
Another busy day at work, not much else to say!   I’m working on the Once Upon a Time sampler during TV-time on the couch at night – this month’s block with Thumbelina is super cute!

mint floral top // Belk
druzy necklace // eBay
grey pants // old
black heels // PayLess
Hump Day calls for comfy work clothes. I’ve been tricking hubby into taking a quick pic when we leave for work in the morning – the lighting is so much better than the overhead light in a mirror, so I’ll try to see how long I can keep this up.  I’m running out of ways to say that I went to work and then ate dinner… that pretty much sums up Wednesday.

striped wrap dress // Target
silver initial leaf necklace // Etsy
navy cardigan // Old Navy
nude wedges // Naturalizer
Definitely a favorite dress of mine – wrap dresses are just so easy.  I picked up this navy cardigan on clearance at Old Navy lately, and it’s perfect for the office – short sleeves for summer but still a little weight for the chilly air conditioning.

polka dot tee // Loft via eBay
green cropped skinnies // Old Navy
nude flats // PayLess
Another Friday afternoon infusion, but with the added bonus of a visit from my parents!  Everything went smoothly and we even got our second car towed and a new battery installed, all before dinner!  After tacos at home, we went for a walk toward Sonic… a little rain couldn’t dampen our dessert!

ikat print top // Kohl’s
navy capris // Loft
white flip flops // Old Navy
grey Toms // Nordstrom’s
navy skinnies // Old Navy
silver rope sandals // eBay
Quite a day – and yes, three shoe changes and two pairs of pants were necessary!  Started off with a MCMQG meeting while hubby and my parents visited the farmers market (that was the first outfit).  We met up again for lunch at The Factory and then headed to Radnor Lake near Brentwood (hence the change of shoes). The cloudy day was perfect for exploring the trails and spying on wildlife – definitely a cool place to visit again and again!  For dinner we headed to Third and Lindsley for a variety show (and the third and final outfit change). We didn’t know quite what to expect, but the food was good and the acts were entertaining, so I call that a win-win!

I’m linked up to The Pleated Poppy for WIWW!
