Another week of What I Wore Wednesday!

The Amateur Librarian // What I Wore Wednesday

What I Wore Wednesday is my motivation for wearing the clothes I own, finding new ways to mix and match outfits, and not wearing the same three things all the time! I kept a fashion diary for the entire year of 2012, in 2013 I added a bit about my days to go along with the outfit, and I’m continuing the same tradition in 2014… So these weekly check-ins are a mini journal of my life too!

My parents left for home in the morning, so we spent the rest of the day catching up on laundry and cleaning. We had so much fun Saturday that we had to recuperate!  An early dinner and Sunday night TV wrapped up the weekend.

I was not ready for Monday to roll around!  I definitely didn’t get up at the first alarm to work out, but once I got to work I finally felt like I wasn’t sleepwalking anymore.  Some Mondays are more Monday-like that others!

red t-strap wedges // eBay
Sometimes I forget how hard-working a LBD can be – I’ve worn this one to an office holiday party, as a cover-up at the beach, around the house, and to work when nothing else looks good in my closet. After work we tried out a new (to us) Italian place nearby and it just might be a new favorite. (Pasta and Cream, if you’re local.)

Hump day!  I’ve had no motivation at all this week to wake up and work out… and Wednesday was no exception. I think I need a new audiobook or podcast to look forward to listening to… got to get back on board somehow!  Otherwise, another normal day of work and home.

Red again!  I don’t even like the color red that much but I end up wearing it a lot.  I threw this on after trying to make another dress work… the other one has never fit exactly right but I kept holding on to it until I finally decided to put it in the donation pile.  I’m really trying to make a conscious effort to only keep clothes I actually like and fit well… not only to feel comfortable but to make room for more new items, of course!  My very favorite show premiered the new season Thursday night – Project Runway! Love it.

Despite all the running around prepping during the week, Friday morning was still a scramble to get out the door. We left extra food and water for the cats, put our suitcases in the trunk, and headed to work for a half day. After lunch we got on the road toward  Tuscaloosa for a family friend’s wedding rehearsal dinner. It was great to reunite with friends and family again!

I have to admit it was fun to simply be a guest at this wedding, so all we had to do was enjoy the show!  We ate brunch at Edelweiss, a German bakery, then went down to Northport to browse the main street shops before heading to the mall… a certain hubby forgot to bring a belt for the wedding… oops!  We got some pool time in that afternoon before heading to the ceremony and reception.  Such a beautiful night to celebrate our family friends… and so much fun!
