High Five for Friday!
I’m sharing the highlights of my week… five to be exact! I love the idea of focusing on five little things that made me happy… definitely a fun way to recap the week and and stay grateful.
1 – Hair cut! Yep, I chopped it all off. I’m still getting used to it, but mostly I love it! So much faster to get ready in the morning.
2 – Hand Dyed Fabric. The Music City MQG went on a field trip to Twiggy & Opal’s home to learn how to hand dye fabric – so cool! I love the four fat quarters I came away with, in shades of chambray and sunshine.
3 –Stickers. Oh man, I had so much fun playing with stickers and making these mandalas. Sometimes it’s just nice to do something purely for fun!
4 – Little Golden Books. I’ve started a new collection, but fortunately it will be limited to just twelve items – I’m collecting the Little Golden Book versions that go along with each of the twelve fairy tales in the Once Upon a Time cross stitch sampler. I got the idea from the Facebook group and couldn’t let it go… it just appeals to my love of the OUAT project and children’s books too perfectly to resist! It’s also the perfect use for my PaperbackSwap.com membership – I’ve accumulated lots of credits but they rarely have the latest bestsellers available, so I can put together this collection for free and finally use up some of my points. So far I’ve got the books for several months, but I’m still missing a couple. The hunt continues!
5 – Arm Band. I got this arm band for my cell phone during the tax free weekend a couple weeks ago, and it has definitely made my daily walks more enjoyable – hands-free! I’m finally back in a routine again, I just switched from waking up early to going after work. So far, it’s working out (pun intended) pretty well… and I’m enjoying my extra hour of sleep in the morning!
…
I’m linking up with Lauren Elizabeth for H54F!
Love the High Five!
