High Five for Friday!
I’m sharing the highlights of my week… five to be exact! I love the idea of focusing on five little things that made me happy… definitely a fun way to recap the week and and stay grateful.
1 – Quick Visit. My parents drove up for a quick visit, and it was fun to see them again. It’s becoming a tradition to visit Sonic for dessert…
2 – Dismals Canyon. We took advantage of Labor Day and visited Dismals Canyon in Alabama. So beautiful! It was fun to get away for a quick adventure and spend some time in a misty canyon.
3 – Dining Room Art. The big blank wall in our dining room is finally filled! I’ve had this quilt in my WIP pile for quite a while, and I thought I’d have to add some pretty big borders to make it bigger… but then I realized it’s the perfect size for the dining room! Three nails later, the dining room is feeling a lot more complete. I’ve been using curtain rings all over the place, and I really like them as a no-sew and no-hole option.
4 – New shoes! Thanks to Labor Day sales, I finally replaced my old sneakers with some new ones… and they don’t give me blisters, woohoo!
5 – Long Weekend. I can’t believe it’s already September! With all the weekend trips lately I haven’t been working on my cross stitch sampler, but I finally finished up August’s block over the holiday weekend. It was nice to just sit for a bit outside with the cats.

I’m linking up with Lauren Elizabeth for H54F!
Love this positive outlook!
