WIWW: September 21-27, 2014

Another week of What I Wore Wednesday!

The Amateur Librarian // What I Wore Wednesday

What I Wore Wednesday is my motivation for wearing the clothes I own, finding new ways to mix and match outfits, and not wearing the same three things all the time! I kept a fashion diary for the entire year of 2012, in 2013 I added a bit about my days to go along with the outfit, and I’m continuing the same tradition in 2014… So these weekly check-ins are a mini journal of my life too!

graphic tee // Old Navy
black+white striped maxi skirt // Gap
white flip flops // Old Navy
Wrapped up a quiet weekend with a few errands and some time to read too. I finished Flora and Ulysses by Kate DiCamillo – it’s super cute!  I also brought out the fall decorations – and discovered the only two broken bits from our whole move… boo!  But at least it’s starting to feel like fall around here… inside and out!  I tried out a new recipe for dinner – creamy shrimp with corn and bacon. Pretty good stuff!

rose gold layered necklace // Charming Charlie
black skinny pants // Gap
black strap+cork wedges // PayLess
Another manic Monday… The office was in full-on party planning mode with the Nashville Wizard World con coming up. After work I went for a walk – the weather has been so gorgeous lately, I hardly break a sweat! I’ll be sad when it gets too dark to keep walking after work. I suppose I’ll have to start looking for a treadmill… but hopefully not for another month or so.

black tank dress // Loft
black+white print cardigan // Belk
leaf pendant // eBay
red t-strap wedges // PayLess
Sorry for the strange glowing lighting… oops!  Love this workhorse of a LBD… always works in a pinch. Another normal work day, another walk afterwards.  After dinner I applied my first full Jamberry wrap – I like them a lot!  Takes some time to apply but I can see where practice would make it go more quickly. Most people mix and match them so maybe I’ll try that next time.

teal color block tunic // Belk
black skinny pants // Gap
black strap+cork wedges // PayLess
Love my Jamberry nails! This tunic is another closet staple to get me through the crazy work week. I go through phases of wearing jewelry every day, and then when things get busy I tend to go with tops or dresses that don’t need anything extra. Saves one more decision in the morning, I guess. After work, another walk. The convention was looming… almost there!

teal tee // Belk
skinny jeans // Old Navy via eBay
sneakers // Nike
Jeans for an unusual work day – packing up, hauling, and unloading inventory from the warehouse to the convention. I’ve never been to a con before, so I didn’t know what to expect, but it was fun to see it all from a vendor’s point of view.

black + white top // Belk
green skinny jeans // Old Navy
nude flats // PayLess
Let the con begin! Half day at work, then we left around lunch time for the convention in Nashville. The first day was a whirlwind, but it was fun. After the con was over for the night, we spent some time downtown on Broadway. Our company provided a luxury coach for transportation, so it was nice not to worry about driving!

cross hatch dress // Forever 21 via eBay
blue print scarf // street fair
black leggings // Deep South Pout
silver flats // PayLess
Full day at the con, followed by a dinner party at our office.  It was freezing, so I came prepared with a scarf and leggings.Lots of great people watching all day as we worked the booth. Later I tossed the layers and added heels for the party. The day & night was a success… and I was exhausted, ha!

I’m linked up to The Pleated Poppy for WIWW!
