Another week of What I Wore Wednesday!

The Amateur Librarian // What I Wore Wednesday

What I Wore Wednesday is my motivation for wearing the clothes I own, finding new ways to mix and match outfits, and not wearing the same three things all the time! I kept a fashion diary for the entire year of 2012, in 2013 I added a bit about my days to go along with the outfit, and I’m continuing the same tradition in 2014… So these weekly check-ins are a mini journal of my life too!

End of Daylights Savings! I don’t mind the extra hour of sleep (at all!) but I don’t love the shorter days. I worked on the poinsettia blocks for the Fair Isle Quilt most of the morning, and that afternoon we went to a matinee at the Belcourt in Nashville to see Birdman. Definitely an interesting movie, makes you think…

black studded flats // eBay
Monday again! I put up most of my warm weather clothes over the weekend to make room for sweaters, but I kept this sleeveless top since it can keep going through Fall with a cardigan. It was nice to have an extra hour of sleep in the morning, but by the end of the work day it was pitch black outside… and I had absolutely no motivation to work out at all.

Busy day –  took some time to vote during lunch, and after work we ate a quick dinner before heading to Nashville for a concert. The Cannery Ballroom was a cool venue, although there were some technical difficulties and about an hour’s delay after the opener, so it was a bit of a later night than we anticipated. It’s been a while since we’ve seen a live show though, so it was a fun deviation from the norm!

black lace dress // Forever 21 via eBay
floral cardigan // Banana Republic
geometric pendant // eBay
brown boots // Deep South Pout
Rainy weather all day long… I love a cozy day and any excuse for boots!  I’ve finally embraced the black+brown combo and I really liked this outfit. I also decided to give myself the week off from working out… if I were a bear I’d be ready to hibernate!

polka dot sweater // Belk
black skinny pants // Loft
nude flats // PayLess
This pair of skinny pants are nearly identical to the ones I wear every single week, but somehow they’ve been relegated to the back of the closet. Actually, I know why – the knees get baggy after a couple of wears. But I decided that was OK and dug them out anyway, and now it’s like I have a new pair of pants! Funny how that works.

taupe embroidered top // Deep South Pout
puffer vest // refashioned from jacket
silver leaf initial necklace // Etsy

brown ankle strap wedges // PayLess
TGIF! That is all.

Saturday again, woohoo! Busy day of errands, with a break in the afternoon to watch Breakfast at Tiffany’s – I had never seen the movie before, but I’ve been on a Truman Capote kick so I read the novella recently.  The movie adaptation is pretty different, but I really liked it!

I’m linked up to The Pleated Poppy for WIWW!
