WIWW: November 16-22, 2014

Happy Thanksgiving Eve! And now for another week of What I Wore Wednesday!

The Amateur Librarian // What I Wore Wednesday

What I Wore Wednesday is my motivation for wearing the clothes I own, finding new ways to mix and match outfits, and not wearing the same three things all the time! I kept a fashion diary for the entire year of 2012, in 2013 I added a bit about my days to go along with the outfit, and I’m continuing the same tradition in 2014… So these weekly check-ins are a mini journal of my life too!

green geometric print sweater // Gap
navy+white floral scarf // Walgreens
skinny jeans // Old Navy via eBay
white cutout loafers // Target
We went out for brunch with my parents before they had to drive back to AL. I didn’t envy them the drive in the cold and rain… I definitely stayed inside for the rest of the day!  Mostly caught up on laundry and the Fair Isle quilt… the weekend is just too short!

bird print scarf // eBay
green cardigan // Ann Taylor
black pants // Banana Republic
black flats // gift
We woke up to flurries and frost but the roads were fine… so off to work we went. It’s super hard for me to stay motivated to keep exercising when it’s so cold and dark after work… so I skipped it Monday night.  Instead I researched electric fireplaces and cross stitched all night… basically I wish I could just hibernate!

grey floral dress // Forever 21 via IG closet
silver initial leaf necklace // Etsy
black knit infinity scarf // gift
grey tights // Gap
brown ankle boots // Deep South Pout
I’m looking for a new pair of black ankle boots, but in the meantime brown+grey works, right? Normal day all around… nothing much to say.

black lace+pleated top // Loft
pink cardigan // Kohl’s
layered rose gold necklace // Charming Charlie
black skinny pants // Gap
nude flats // PayLess
Normally I would pair black with a neutral or red, but I pulled out this blush pink cardigan instead since I hardly ever wear it… and I like it! After work we had an appointment with Apple… my laptop was sick and had to go to the doctor for a new hard drive, which was a bummer. Since we were already in the mall, we ate at the new Cheesecake Factory for dinner and called it a day.

sheer black top // Belk
leaf necklace // GroopDealz
olive green skinny pants // Gap
black flats // PayLess
Another long work day… it’s hard to stay motivated when the holidays are right around the corner. Finally dragged myself to the treadmill after work… winter is hard!

teal color block tunic // Belk
black tribal print infinity scarf // EveryDay Icing
jeggings // eBay
black boots // Belk
Infusion day… worked a half day at work and then headed to the hospital. Hubby came along this time because we had tickets to see The Book of Mormon afterwards. We ate a quick dinner and then headed to the show… so funny! Fun night to wrap up the work week.

plaid button up // Kohl’s
jeggings // eBay
brown boots // Deep South Pout

Somehow it only now hit me that Christmas is only a few weeks away… and there are so many crafty little projects I want to make! I spent the morning with my sewing machine, and fit in some chores too. The only way I convinced myself to get out of pajamas was dinner at Chuy’s – and a margarita!

I’m linked up to The Pleated Poppy for WIWW!
