This past weekend was pretty cold, but the clear skies were a drastic change from the snow forecasted for Monday. The snow never came, but a layer of ice sure did, and with it three Ice Days to work at home. I was scheduled for my annual colonoscopy yesterday, with the liquid diet/prep day on Monday, but the steady freezing rain and icy roads changed my mind.
One ice day turned into two, and I thought we’d be back in the office today… but the snow is finally falling. Even more ice and snow are forecasted this week, so we’ll see what happens…
I can’t say I minded postponing the colonoscopy prep for another few weeks. Although I still had to work, the comforts of home were quite cozy… I had time to catch up on my podcasts, do some baking, cut fabric for the upcoming paper piecing workshop with my quilt guild, and consume plenty of hot chocolate!
Not bad for Icemageddon 2015… so far. Stay warm out there!
