More progress to share on my current quilting & stitching WIPs…
Modern Maples Quilt
Since last week, I assembled all the maple leaf blocks, decided on a layout, and quilted each block using my favorite QAYG method. I also added some improv details to personalize the quilt… but I’m not ready to share that yet until the quilt has been gifted, so I’m only sharing a sneak peek of that!
Next weekend, I hope to finish putting the QAYG blocks together and attaching the backing and binding.
After finishing the June block of the Woodland Creatures cross stitch (pics to come tomorrow), I couldn’t resist starting a new project. I have quite a collection of digital patterns, so the hardest part was deciding what to start next… after much deliberation, I went with this adorable sampler from Satsuma Street… love it! The finished saying will be “It Always Seems Impossible Until It Is Done” (Nelson Mandela).
I’ve only just started, but it’s a nice project to work on during TV time on the couch.
And that’s about it!
