Another High Five for Friday! I have to admit, this week was a bit of a struggle with two days full of heavy lifting at the warehouse & car troubles. But I can still find a few highlights of my week… five to be exact! I love the idea of focusing on five little things that made me happy… definitely a fun way to recap the week and stay grateful.
– Summer TV. My favorite show of the summer is back – Food Network Star! I look forward to this show every year… I love the silly challenges and “drama” in the kitchen.
– Improv. I pulled out my favorite improv book Word Play to add a special detail to a quilt gift – can’t wait to reveal it once it’s finished and received!
– Sync. Another summer favorite – free audiobooks! When you sign up for Sync’s newsletter, you get 2 free audiobooks per week – one YA and one classic, both with a similar theme. Last year my absolute favorite was Code Name Verity by Elizabeth Wein.
– Spy. This movie was hilarious! The previews make it seem pretty stupid… but Melissa McCarthy and Rose Byrne (among others) are really great!
– The Silkworm. I’m finally reading the second book in JK Rowling’s detective series… it’s super engrossing! I can’t put it down… and even though I enjoyed the audio version of the first book, I’m equally enjoying the dictionary feature in the ebook.
