High Five for Friday!

Another High Five for Friday!

I’m sharing the highlights of my week… five to be exact!  I love the idea of focusing on five little things that made me happy… definitely a fun way to recap the week and stay grateful.

1 – Alabama Adventures. Much-needed getaway to see family and friends again last weekend – in 24 hours we packed in a day at the lake and explored a natural bridge too! I even got some reading time in by the lake.
2 – Challenge. Another fabric challenge from the Modern Quilt Guild is due soon! I’ve been brainstorming what I want to make with this bundle of fat-eighths and tomorrow is an Open Sew at the MCMQG meeting, so I better figure it out soon…
3. ROY G BIV. As I was snapping pics for yesterday’s post about Books on a Budget, it reminded me of how much my color-ordered bookcase makes me happy! The bookcases are in my line of sight from both the living room and the dining room, so I pass by them a lot and it just makes me smile every day. It’s the little things, right?
4. The Night Circus. This one keeps popping up on Must-Read Lists, and when I saw it yet again on one of those “If you liked Harry Potter, you’ll love these books” lists, I finally got the audiobook from the library. It doesn’t get any better than Jim Dale reading to you on the way to work every day!
5. Social Media Motivation.  I finally realized (for better or worse) that social media is a motivator for me when it comes to keeping up with good habits…  I guess I need external motivation & I can’t deny that posting a pic on IG after working out makes me more likely to do it again the next day. Whatever works!
