#TBT: Seasonal Poetry

I had high hopes of sharing all the pics from our trip yesterday… but obviously that didn’t happen… and it isn’t happening today, either! Maybe next week 🙂
For today, how about a little #tbt action?
Fall always makes me want to haul out the library lesson plans and crafts again, but I usually settle for my favorite seasonal poetry lesson from Mailbox Magazine instead…. which is why there are so many Thanksgiving poems floating around this blog, ha! I don’t get out the construction paper and glue anymore, but there’s just something so satisfying about thinking about the upcoming seasons and spending a few minutes putting together a little poem that I can’t shake… so the poetry continues!
Throwback Thursday:

From 2010:

The Amateur Librarian // Thanksgiving 2013

And 2011:

The Amateur Librarian // Thanksgiving 2013

From 2013:

The Amateur Librarian // Thanksgiving 2013

But even though the first day of Fall is days away, it’s still feeling like summer around here. So today I’m spreading the love to all four seasons with some new poems. If you want to play along, here’s the template:

When is [season]?

When [adjective] [noun] [verb]

And [adjective][noun] [verb].

When [adjective] [noun] [verb]

And [adjective][noun] [verb].

Then it is [season]!
