WIP Wednesday

Another weekly update on my current WIPs 🙂 I’ve been itching to start another quilt, but I can’t decide on anything… so it’s small projects for now.

Scrap Stars Mini Quilt

I finally started hand quilting this mini quilt. I’ve never hand quilted anything before, so I’m starting with straight lines and I might add some echo shapes around the stars. My stitches are pretty big but it’s fun practice. The mini isn’t big, but I’m not in a rush so it might take me a while.

Woodland Creatures Cross Stitch

I started the October block – owls and autumn leaves (and The Great British Baking Show!).

More Cross Stitch

Getting organized for new cross stitch projects is my favorite part – going through my floss collection, finding more on the big DMC wall-o-floss, picking out fabric and taping off the edges. I’ve got a few ready and waiting to get started.

And that’s about it!

  1. Oh I love your little mini, and I think it is great that you are trying hand quilting. I love hand quilting and this little quilt, with its traditional look, is ideal for it. I would definitely outline those stars. I am sure it is going to look amazing finished, as it already does.
