A Little Boo Cross Stitch

I got ahead of myself by stitching a Thanksgiving project first… but I managed to finish up this Halloween cross stitch just in time! This is my first Lizzie Kate pattern, after admiring plenty of others on social media.

The kit came with linen and embellishments… my first time using both! The linen learning curve threw me for a loop at first, but with some bright light and a couple hours to concentrate, I’m feeling confident that I conquered a new skill. This little 4×4 project was the perfect practice.

I looked for a square frame at JoAnn’s and ended up getting the same one that I used for the Give Thanks x stitch… and they look pretty cute side by side for a dose of Autumn holiday spirit!

It’s not a quilt… but I’m linking up to Crazy Mom Quilts for Finish Friday!

  1. Who cares if it’s not a quilt? It is super fun and appropriate for the season. It also probably took as long to make as some quilts do.

  2. I recently started my first project on linen, too! It is definitely a bit more difficult and requires more attention. The holes in mine are TINY, and it’s a HUGE project. Would’ve been better to start small. 🙂 I was tempted to swap out for Aida before I got too far in but I think I’ll be glad I didn’t.
