Foundation to Finished: October 2015

Time for an update on our new house journey…
The Amateur Librarian // Foundation to Finished
A lot happened this month, but we still have a ways to go.
We met with our builder mid-month for the frame review to go over a checklist of items (and the builder spray painted notes for the crew all over the foundation which was fun). We continue to visit on the weekends, and with the new expansion of roads connecting downtown Franklin to our neighborhood, it’s so nice to cut the drive time in half.
Right now, there’s a lot done: foundation, wiring, plumbing, brick, siding, roof. Next up: drywall! I think it will really start to come together once there are walls. We’re still looking at an early-to-mid-December closing, so I’m just crossing my fingers that we’ll be settled by Christmas. We got estimates from 5 local moving companies, but we’re still waiting to commit until we have a closing date.
Here are some progress pics:

In November, we should start seeing the interior come together. By the end of the month we should have a definite closing date (knock on wood).
