High Five for Friday!

The first week back to work and Real Life always feels like the “real” start of the new year! Instead of recapping the past couple weeks of past H54F, I’m starting fresh. (I will *try* not to gush about the house, promise). Cheers to many more high fives in 2016!

I’m sharing the highlights of my week… five to be exact!  Focusing on five little things that made me happy is my way of recapping the week and a reminder to stay grateful.

1 – Happy New Year! I’m super excited to start the new year in a new home, and I can’t wait to see what happens in 2016. It’s a great feeling to start the year with a burst of enthusiasm, especially as so much else around the world seems so uncertain.
2 – First stitch of the new year. The boxes are unpacked and I survived the first day back to work, so I treated myself to a new x stitch project. Nothing like a new project to finally feel at home in the new house!
3 – Neato Burrito. Still deciding on a name for our new botvac (I favor Luigi) but I am enamored with the little guy. He was pricey but with a much bigger house (not to mention the litter box inside) I’m hoping he will be a big help!
4 – Why Not Me? The commute to work is only about 5 minutes longer, and Mindy Kaling’s new audiobook is making me laugh the whole way.
5 – Prune. The only thing lacking at the new house is internet… but I’m hoping that will finally be resolved TODAY. But when I need some non-reading/non-crafting downtime, I’ve been playing this game on my phone. It’s so beautiful!
